An excellent way to discover this pretty and interesting village. Rottingdean was not only the home to writer, Rudyard Kipling but also has a smuggling past and features a bracing walk up to the imposing windmill. These three things alone make it a treasure hunt of contrasts.
With 18 questions around a relatively short walk it means you are regularly on the look-out for the next clue. Families and tourists alike will enjoy this hunt.
The treasure hunt starts at The White Hart. You will need to pay for parking there, but there is free parking on a number of side roads in the village nearby.Wheelchair access is good for the most part except for a steepish section up to the last question. Q1 is accessible from going down the left hand side of the pub rather than the direction given in the treasure hunt.
