About Me

Who is the `Black Cat` that will be responding to my enquiry?! My name is Tim Carter, and I established Black Cat Treasure Hunts in 2012. It was the perfect opportunity to use my creative writing skills. When I had the brainwave of setting up a treasure hunt company, I couldn`t quite hit on the right name. Lots of testing on friends and family didn`t meet with 100% approval ratings!
By chance though I came across a solution when a black cat crossed my path and followed me for a while in Alfriston, a village in East Sussex. Alfriston was one of my original on-line treasure hunts. Destiny had struck!
Since that year I have retained the core of around 25-30 on-line, downloadable treasure hunts, but developed specialisms in writing bespoke, personalised treasure hunts for team building, hen parties and all types of celebrations and unique events. 

My background is in leisure and event management...ideal experience for setting up fun treasure hunts and running organised team building events. I live in Seaford, East Sussex and have lived in East and West Sussex for most of my life. This has enabled me to gain extensive knowledge of all the various places featured here and some that aren`t! I even went to university in Sussex. How many other treasure hunting companies have this level of tie-in to the county?

Brighton treasure hunts are my most popular ones but I also get called up to put together  London treasure hunts every year too. I have compiled one for the guests at the famous Park Plaza hotel in Westminster and also team building events in Camden, Shoreditch, and Hyde Park. Want to stay in the capital? Give me a call.
