Why did the Hen cross the road?

She woke up..her alarm had not gone off, but something was bugging her. It was that feeling of needing to make a decision on something really important, but not being able to remember what it was.
Breakfast was an option, but this really had to be sorted before she could feel like eating. The dog gave her a hopeful, longing look as she came downstairs. Was he going to get an early feed? Not so lucky as she appeared to be rustling through a pile of papers.
The nagging feeling had turned into a gut wrenching desire to solve the mystery of finding the missing piece of her memory puzzle. It involved her friend across the road she knew. No time to waste as she slipped tracksuit trousers on and a jacket to cover her nightwear. Slippers were quicker than any other form of shoe. This was not a time to worry about fashion statements.
The overnight rain had subsided to a slight drizzle as her pace quickened outside. The Close was quiet..she crossed the road unobtrusively.Well..as unobtrusively as anyone with her combination of clothing can look outside. The door of the house opposite hers opened. The young woman who opened it was in her twenties. Normally her green eyes were intense, intelligent, but today they showed slight annoyance and betrayed the fact that it was a quarter to Six in the morning.
"Why have you called me? What the hell is it? Are you Ok?"
"I don`t know! What was I supposed to be doing? What decision was I supposed to make today?
The woman looked at her friend with fluffy yellow slippers and what looked like a night shirt peaking through her jacket. Her annoyance had disappeared. A smile escaped. She gestured silently for her friend to come in and led her through to a room with a laptop already on.
"This is what you are supposed to be sorting..."
One click later and a minute of typing in her enquiry and she relaxed for the first time since she had woken. In a couple of hours Black Cat Treasure Hunts would be checking their emails and finding an enquiry for a personalised hen party treasure hunt.
